The International Military Pilgrimage is getting back to normal and is organising its pilgrimage to Lourdes from 13-15th May 2022, under the leadership of Mgr. Antoine de Romanet, bishop of the French Armed Forces.
Peace, harmony, prayer and friendship are the watchwords of this international pilgrimage, which is is in its 62nd year. Even if the International Military Pilgrimage cannot currently muster its pre-Covid attendance, usually 15,000 soldiers, the Sanctuary is delighted to be able to welcome more than 10,000 participants from Europe, Africa or America. A special welcome is reserved for the sick pilgrims who will be accompanied by members of the Hospitality of Our Lady of the Armed Forces and volunteers from the Army Health Service. After two years of virtual PMIs in 2020 and 2021, everyone will be back in Lourdes to experience the highlights of this long-awaited annual pilgrimage to the Marian City.
